A pair of high-heeled uniform boots provided by the Foundation. The crossed laces on the shoes are a common design which often symbolizes obedience. She was a model student with excellent performance when she was trained in the Foundation. A small decoration popular in her hometown. The gray color fits the Foundation's uniform well and the schleife gives her outfit an interesting touch. A pair of gilded earrings. There is nothing special about its workmanship or background. After the owner became Ms. Sotheby's tutor, they were immediately replaced by a pair of ruby earrings which were a gift from Ms. Sotheby.

Story[]

New Immigrant to America
0%
The country was shrouded in the gloom of defeat, the common people were forced to bear the consequences of the generals' wrong decision in the war. Poverty and suffering loomed over the whole nation.
The small ceramics workshop near a forest in Bavaria was no exception.
Her father, who lost his arms in the war, could no longer work on the ceramics. Even if he could, no one would want such delicate crafts at a time like that.
For the last time, she took a walk in the forest, looked at the familiar scenery, and bade the critters goodbye.
She was going to leave this familiar forest and the tranquil fantasy born within.
She was going to cross the Atlantic to the other side of the world.
There would be no more fragrance of spruce and pine in the morning.

Report on Recalling Hannah Geier

Hannah Geier, born in Bavaria, German Empire, immigrated to Washington DC, USA, in 1919 and applied to join the Foundation the next year. An expert of German, English and Latin, she can also speak French and is studying Chinese.

She was in 14 transnational missions as the investigator and completed them with excellent performance. However, the mission records have also shown that she had underperformed in the face of emergency and suggested further supervision.

She prefers going by the name Moissan to her real name. According to our investigation, the nickname comes from an operation in France and is derived from the French word "Moisson." We suggest to let her keep the name and do not interfere.

She agrees to the Foundation's philosophy and has been loyal since, with no record of objection to the Foundation's orders.

Conclusion: It's recommended to recall her as Field Investigator to replenish our manpower.

Status: Approved.

Pandora Wilson: What made you change your career from a Foundation investigator to Ms. Sotheby's tutor?
Ms. Moissan: (panicked) What?! Wh-Why would you ... like to know that? Um, you know, there's ...
Pandora Wilson: You don't have to answer, if it's inconvenient for you.
Ms. Moissan: *long sigh* Phew ... Thank you.
Pandora Wilson: What's your opinion on the Nutrient Potions Ms. Sotheby is working on? I don't think you have ever intervened in her potion experiments.
Ms. Moissan: She's just a child, though indeed she lacks common sense in some aspects ... I could have done better in her education. But still, I hope to hold a solemn attitude instead of a contemptuous one towards Ms. Sotheby and her research.
Ms. Moissan: I won't stop her or persuade her to give up on these experiments, because what really matters to me is the effort Ms. Sotheby spends on it, but not the result.
Ms. Moissan: Let's not forget that she is doing it out of her love for others. Teaching her to love and act out of love is the best education I can think of.

Birthday Letter[]

1: On this night, Mr. Karson served Ms. Moissan a bowl of noodles, which flattered her and deepened the stereotype that noodles are "essential at a Chinese birthday party."

Wilderness Conversation[]

「Ms. Moissan Wilderness Conversation」
Ms. Moissan Icon I once tried a few spy novels in leisure time, and it has come to my notice that most writers seem to think bushes are a great place to hide.
This is far from what happened in real life.

「Ms. Moissan - Max Bond Wilderness Conversation」
Ms. Moissan Icon Some compare education to shaping porcelain. I agree with this sentiment to some extent, as shaping requires patience, meticulousness, and observation.
But children are not clay to be shaped at will.
Every moment with you and Ms. Sotheby reminds me of this.
A good educator never acts high and mighty. All one should do is understand, then guide.
Just in the way you lead people as the Timekeeper... You have the qualities required to become a good teacher, Ms. Vertin.

Trivia[]

  • Her name is likely based on Henri Moissan, the French chemist and pharmacist known as the winner of the 1906 Nobel Prize in Chemistry for his work in isolating fluorine from its compounds, and his discovery of Moissanite.
