When attacking, gain an ATK percentage equal to 0.5x the number of [Burn] stacks on self, and resolve own [Burn] to deal damage to self while retaining the number of stacks. Every time after J's attack successfully inflicts [Burn], J grants the same number of [Burn] stacks to self. Take 50% less damage from resolving own [Burn] stacks, and never fall below 15% HP this way.
DMG Dealt +8% when the caster enters battle.
J's [Burn] stack limit is increased to 35, and becomes immune to [Freeze] and [Cold] while in the [Burn] status. At the start of the round, if J is below 50% HP, dispel all non-Burn [Stats Down] and [Neg Status] from self, then grant Critical Rate +20% to self for 1 round. |

West Coast Streets 0%

The second millennium of the Gregorian calendar draws to a close amid prosperity and revelry. Mass media, electronic entertainment, and worldwide disco culture have finally made this vast world smaller. My dear, here we have the Internet, globalization, and the new gospel of the Information Age! Under the frenzy of disco lights, skyscrapers rise across the West Coast, just as this era that will mark the end of history reaches its peak. The city's chasms tear the two societies on the same land asunder—an economic boom, the rich get richer, and the poor get poorer. Beyond the glossy world governed by laws and regulations lies an underground society created by the people themselves. After all, this city never lacks immigrants and wanderers who are shut out by the mainstream. "If you're homeless, go to Tang's Restaurant, J and his pals will find you a job." |
Haight Street Beats 40%

"Backstreet Boy" J's whistle is faster than a cop's baton. Listen, just listen—if you hear him blow one long, two short, three times, it means, hey, the cops are coming! Get out! And if it's one short, two long? Hey, it just means the weather's nice, and J's whistling for the heck of it! "Black Hand" Sergeant As long as J solves more trouble than he causes, he's considered a good guy on Haight Street. This isn't a matter of law enforcement, it's simple math—addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, that's all it is. Immigrant Vendor I swear by my own conscience and the ancestors back home, it was Mr. J and the Sergeant who took down the Snakehead Gang. The cops hogged the headlines, and the papers didn't mention a word about Mr. J. What a disgrace! How do I know? Duh! He personally saved me from that ship! |
Metal Partners 80%

Pandora Wilson: You mentioned metal and your friends on Haight Street, but most people don't see how they are related. J: That's true, but they both have a common trait: reliability. Pandora Wilson: What I'm asking is if you personally see any connection between them? J: You can think them as my partners, lady. Pandora Wilson: Partners? J: They have consistent temperaments, distinct personalities, and they'll always help you when you're in need. Pandora Wilson: I see. So, metals and grains did play a crucial role in the development of our civilization... Pandora Wilson: In that sense, I think I understand what you mean... J: If you ever need a knife, you know where to find me. I've got plenty of good stuff for you to choose from— Pandora Wilson: Thank you, but I don't think I'll be needing any of those sharp and dangerous tools. |
Birthday Letter[]
1: Tang's Restaurant is especially busy this month. In the early hours of this day, J prepared a spare knife for the back kitchen. To test the sharpness of the knife, J made himself a late night meal with extra beef.
2: J and Paulina's birthdays are close together. After their parents met and started the family, they picked a date in the middle to celebrate both little ones' birthdays together. Unfortunately, the friends J made during that time won't be wishing him a happy birthday today.
3: Birthdays aren't particularly important, but they are a good reason to get together. J invited friends old and new, prepared his forged goods, and came up with a new paint job for his beloved bike—finished just in time for a dazzling entrance to the party.
